To contribute to the Open Programmable Infrastructure Project, follow the steps outlined in the contributing.md located on the OPI GitHub.
Become a Member
The Open Programmable Infrastructure Project would not exist without the support of the member organizations. Is your organization or company interested in joining as a General or Premier member?
The Open Programmable Infrastructure (OPI) Project aims to foster a community-driven standards-based open ecosystem for next generation architectures and frameworks based on DPU/IPU-like technologies.
Why Become a Member:
OPI Project provides a forum to collaborate on a common technical vision, vocabulary, security best practices, and general roadmap, to be applied within separate workstreams and enterprise communities. It aims to delineate what a DPU/IPU is, to loosely define a framework and architecture for a DPU/IPU-based software stack(s) applicable to any vendors hardware solution, to allow the creation of a rich open source application ecosystem, to integrate with existing open source projects aligned to the same vision such as the Linux kernel, IPDK.io, DPDK and SPDK to create new APIs for interaction with and between the elements of the DPU/IPU ecosystem.
OPI Project provides best practices to simplify deployment of DPU/IPUs.The OPI Project has multiple working groups, including the API and Behavior Model, Provisioning and Platform Management, Developer Platform/Proof of Concept, Use Case and Outreach. It is through these working groups that OPI builds these best practices and frameworks.
